‘Thoughts’

With this work I started a research into the possible pensive qualities of certain subjects. Showing its backside to the viewer, this polaroid has kept its content hidden from the audience. Turning in on itself, between reflection and concealment.

‘Towards perception’

‘Towards perception’

‘Towards perception’ is a performance piece. The artist draws over the outline of an anatomical print of the eye with a graphite pencil. In the end the print is fully filled in and the remains of the print can be seen as a shimmer on the black surface.

‘Blindsight’

‘Blindsight’

This photographic series reflects on how we see and don’t see. Our vision might deceive us in many ways. The phenomenon called blindsight is a condition some people have, these people think they are completely blind but in fact are able to see things. This series focusses on the role of the camera as our external eyes and how our sight is bringing forth thoughts.
