Project Waterberg - 2020 -

In 2015 the municipality of Arnhem decided to dedicate itself in preserving a forest that lies just above Burger’s Zoo. The forest ‘Waterberg’ was declared a old growth forest which means that from now on, people won’t interfere in its processes.

Yet, this isn’t entirely true, since some maintenance is still being done to keep the visitors safe. There are some other aspects of the forest and our use of it that problematize the situation the municipality has set up. Behind the good intentions there are many parties that show to have influence over the forest and the situation.

This project is dedicated to follow and document the following tale of this forest, and anything that might occur that threatens its status
